Texture Tuesday | A Big Move

As if adopting internationally wasn’t enough on our minds, hearts, and head, we thought we would take our already crazy life one step further! We are moving!! Just across town, but still! We weren’t even in the market for a new home, but nevertheless, we have found a home that we love!

Let me explain.  This winter we came across this house. We really liked it.  It needed some updates and needed some of our own touches, but someone put in a contract on the home before we could even really take a look at it.  However, four months later, we noticed it back on the market! My husband, Scott, is a little OCD and is always looking for our next home.  And after a few days, we just couldn’t stop thinking about it.  It had everything we wanted.  The location, the floor plan, the feel! So we went to see it, made a pro /con list, and spent several hours talking about could this house become the home that we start our family and raise our children in.  So after 48 hours and another trip to see the house, we made an offer.  And just five hours later, we found out that they accepted our offer!! Crazy, I know!

So NOW we have two houses… One that we will move into the end of September, and one that we officially have on the market! We have lived in our current home for almost 6 years, and simply love it! We totally renovated it to really make it our own, and it was the perfect home to start our marriage together.  We love it.  And we know that another couple or family will love it as much as we do!
