I love quality time with my husband. I do not give up my time with him easily, and I cherish every second we have together.

I love our son with all my heart, and I cannot wait to meet him when we travel across the world to meet him.

I am a user of :) and !!!, because sometimes just one exclamation is just not enough, and I feel like more people need to see a smile :).

I strive to be an encourager, supporter, and believer of other peoples dreams.

I am quick to worry, and wear my heart on my sleeve.

I am convinced that kindness is one of the most important qualities out there.

Texture Tuesday | Pictures of US

So I love taking pictures. Obviously. I love the emotions, the moments. I love that I can freeze time for others. That is why I do this job so that I can capture moments of life and laughter as it is. As it is now, not as you hope it to be (10 pounds lighter) one day. I tell people this all the time, but when I was working on our adoption profile book, a was smacked in the face with an awful reality. I am not in pictures. I am looking through albums and albums of personal photos, and I am in hardly any of them. For a moment, I hated being a photographer. Just a quick moment! Because I truly love what I do, but I realized that MY life isn’t getting documented. Sure my niece and nephew and my family are having their life truly documented, but I am not in their pictures. This made me so sad!

Scott and I took pictures with the amazing Kamee June a couple of years ago that I love! I truly cherish that moment for me and Scott, but that was 2 years ago, and it was 4 years before that when me and Scott had our engagement pictures taken (By Dove Wedding Photography)! We had a few pictures of us on trips, but it seems that I am taking everyone else’s pictures and not getting anyone to take ours. So two things happened. One I vowed I will get Scott to learn how to shoot my camera and shoot it well before we have a family, because I want it documented that I am there too with our kids. And second I asked my super talented and dear friend Chesley to do a little mini shoot for us so we could have some updated pictures not only for our adoption book, but to frame around our home. I will share more of these amazing pictures, but for now, here are just two of my favorites!!

I just got these pictures today, and already I have order two big ones to go over our bed. So help my hold my self to this. To get out from behind my camera and get in front of it!! So that all of our crazy, textured, wonderful life is documented too!!
